Course Overview

This course will equip you with the knowledge to be able to safely prevent and fight a fire in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Classroom based training (with fire extinguishers practical)
Remote training by Zoom (without fire extinguishers practical)

Target Audience

This course is suitable for all staff that would benefit from an understanding of fire safety and the practical use and application of fire extinguishers

Course Aims and Objectives

To be aware of current laws and legislation relating to fire including employee and employer duties and responsibilities
To understand the Theory of Fire
To demonstrate an understanding of fire prevention measures
To explore the appropriate actions on discovering a fire
To explore the appropriate actions upon hearing a fire alarm, including evacuation procedures
To gain a practical understanding of the safe use of fire fighting equipment including fire extinguishers and fire blankets
