- To explore the anatomy and physiology of the urinary tract
- To understand the indications and complications of urinary catheters
- To explore the different types of catheter, including suprapubic and urethral catheters
- To demonstrate how to care for someone with a catheter including the catheter management, cleaning, fluid management and infection control
