Course Aims and Objectives

To be able to assist with emergencies that you may come across in the workplace
To understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
To know how to assess an incident
To manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
To manage and unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
To recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
To manage a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
To understand how to manage a casualty with a minor injuries including burns or fracture
To understand how to manage a variety of conditions including stroke, heart attack, anaphylactic shock, hypoglycaemia or seizures
