Course Aims and Objectives

To recognise the causes and prevention of cardiopulmonary arrest
To understand the ILS Algorithm in line with the Resuscitation guidelines, 2015
To demonstrate the ABCDE approach of patient care
To demonstrate safe and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simple airway management and safe defibrillation, enabling you to manage patients in cardiac arrest until the arrival of an ambulance
To understand the 8 reversible causes of a cardiopulmonary arrest
